I am so much happier than I was yesterday.
Like, I was seriously starting to worry that my depression was creeping back in, and I think it was because I was so stagnant.
Even though selling clothes isn’t my favorite thing in the world, I’m really glad to be out of the house and productive.
I had an amazing first day, too. I really like my new managers, and I basically doubled my sale and transaction goals.

I’ve had a problem with this story since I’ve seen it, and I couldn’t really place my finger on it until now.
Yes, Romney and other multi-millionaires are seemingly out of touch with the plights of the vast majority of Americans.
Yes, this inability to relate to the problems of poverty is a problem for someone who wants to lead the country.
But this… This bothers me. Maybe dressage is alien to most people, but I’ve known about it all my life, even as a lower middle class person. My aunt lives in Louisville, KY and always had horses because she chose to live with her parents in order to devote her income to horses instead of rent, utilities, etc. She also participated in dressage, and pictures of her in those silly outfits on top of dressed-up horses lined her bedroom walls. My aunt has never been a multi-millionaire. She simply managed her expenses in a way that allowed her to enjoy this hobby she loved and the animals she loved. I acknowledge that she was privileged to be able to do so, but once again, it doesn’t take $20 million to do this.
Maybe it’s weird to participate in “horse dancing.” Maybe it’s an opportunity not afforded to many people. But to make this into a news story bothers me. Quite simply, it’s not a big deal. There are plenty of flaws with Romney as a candidate (like, you know, his entire platform) to comment on without going after his wife’s hobbies.
